The Croatian woman was this blonde, athletic woman. I did really like her and felt the chemistry 100% was there. The other girl in uni, same thing. I was getting great vibes from her. I'm really bummed I just didn't approach her in-person.

So those seem uncomfortable, but they all seemed like flirtations, which is just my observation and nothing else added to it.

I think it’s worse when a woman thinks it’s *true love* and gets rejected, but you know what, I guess both kinds are bad for both genders AND rejection in general, never feels good…

I have been rejected, and I’m still not quite over it yet.

I think rejection may be a lot more common than we realize because everyone is so diverse, it just seems difficult for someone else to see the real you and want that or appreciate that, or genuinely just enjoy that.

Being truly accepted and wanted, or needed- that’s rare because people are so complex and living different lives.

Being at different place; at different times.

Same as a lot guys I guess I had this thing for the girl next door, we were good friends growing up. We were very close and one year she grew really big breasts too big for her short thin frame age 14 and all of a sudden she had every guys attention, I was completing in love with her. Anyway we weren't quite dating yet but we're on the way, a few times she left her curtains open so i could see her changing. We went to prom together and she went off with an older boy on the football team who took her virginity that night. I was devastated and decided there and then she wasn't for me. Anyway we remained friends through the years. I played sports at school and one summer I came back a complete beef cake after staying the summer working construction with my uncle and lifting weights every evening with my cousin and all of a sudden I had intrest from all these girls at school including this girl. She tried to get me to date her all of senior year and I refused, even a few times she pulled out the big guns taking her top off with her curtains open and her light on as our houses were right beside each other and I had drunken make out sessions, grope sessions and sex a few times with her but refused to date her seriously. We went to college and it was the same story, we'd be back in town for the holidays and she would be trying to get with me even when she already had a boyfriend I would have no real intrest. 10 years later she's been married twice to lovers who treated her like crap, she's put on weight, had a few kids and gravity had happened. She'd confessed a few times that she wished we'd ended up together etc but I learned a real lesson about the nature of women back when she went off with that senior at prom.

I had asked out a girl at my church who was in high school and about 3 years younger than me. Asked her out after church since we had a youth night and my family had stayed after church. I saw her alone in the alter and asked her if she wanted to go out with me. She was surprised and gave me her number and said call me anytime. I called her and she gave "I am busy with family". Tried again and again and she finally told me that she was seeing someone and that she was sorry. It hurt as I could tell that she did want to see me but was involved with other guy who she had feelings for and were seeing each other for months. I never got over it as she married and had a baby. I saw her at my church with her husband and baby, she waved at me and had a sad look on her face. I am at least glad she didn't reject me at church as it would have been embarrassing around the other church members.

i've been rejected twice. once by a high school crush which i was okay for me. i was a little bummed out in the moment but it didn't matter a lot. i was an outcast and bullied at high school so i knew it would be risky to ask out one of the popular kids. ngl i think if i would approach him today he would say yes.

second was a guy i really had feelings for. for 6 months he acted like a whole ass boyfriend: meeting my friends and brother, bringing me along to his friends, trying to find me an appartment close to his and then he told me he had a girlfriend and wasn't interested in me anymore. Really hit me like a ton of bricks that one. He kept on messaging me, telling me we couldn't meet anymore because his girlfriend wouldn't approve of that which was very weird because i told him i wanted to cut contact the moment he rejected me. I don't know. weird dude.
i eventually blocked his number & i think he moved away because i don't see him anywhere anymore.

Maybe it’s not you, but the eye contact that they’re responding too. Everyone makes eye contact, and the response is to look away I guess.

So maybe if you smiled along with it, it could be reciprocated? 🤷‍♀️
