What does it mean when a woman says that she had great contact with a specific guy but he then disappeared?

I have a crush on a woman I 'm dating since 2 months ago. She knows I like her because I have told her. She acts hard to get, but she shows signs of reciprocating my feelings, although we have had no sex yet. Yesterday we were talking about the promotion at work of a friend of mine and then she told me that she "used to have great communication with him last year, during a couple of months, but then he suddenly disappeared". That guy is very promiscuous. Does it mean 1) that they had sex and he then left her or 2) that she played hard to get, like with me, and he stopped showing interest?

I don't want to ask her, because I don't know how, without seeming invasive.

It means that either he was in contact with her to see if she'd be a good hookup but stopped talking to her when he lost interest, or she slept with him and he ghosted her since he got what he wanted. So many women think that letting a guy sleep with them will keep him, but if he's a player or out of her league hr won't stay no matger what.

It depends on what kind of lady she is. If she is very conservative and only has sex with guys she is dating, he probably ghksted her because he could tell she wouldn't be a hit-and-quit. But with how most women are today, my guess is she slept with him without realizing he was using her.

A side note is that it's very clear she has friendzoned you, otherwise she would be dating you or sleeping with you right now. She either ONLY keeps you as a friend to give her attention she wants, or she does actually like you, but you are the backup in case the guys she really likes ignore her. Don't be an asshole or anything, but you'll want to quit communicating with her outside of work, and make it sparse even at work. Just be civil and pretend like you never liked her romantically. Move on to someone else. I've dealt with several of these wishy-washy gals like her, and they always lead you on and break your heart repeatedly. You might win her over one day but likely after painfully watching her be with other guys and eventually settling for you. Trust me, girls go after what they want. If you were what she wanted, you'd be dating or having sex. Her telling you about the other guy sounds like you've been friendzoned.

Every time that has happened to me... usually also involved sex... I would come to find out there is another man. The guy was already there and she was just a cheater. It wouldn't piss me off if I was told and tbh I would probably still bang. But that's the way some women just are. They don't just want the sex, but also want the rush of some guy willing to fall for them or dedicate themselves to them.

I think you assume way too much. I have thousands of people I did not stay in touch with, people from pre school and middle school and high school and work and church and online.
