The example I'm talking about is that she sent me a picture of her and a friend, and she said "there now you can look at it whenever you want". It sounds like she was being a smart alek and or sarcastic about it, but, how do i make sure of that?

If she didn't want to engage with you further, she either wouldn't contact you or make it clear she doesn't like you.
So take the message as some sort of positive sign. As you allude to, face-to-face communication is the least ambiguous form. So talk to her, and see how things go.
I think it is smart alek-y and not sarcastic based on the context provided.
