How do I know if a girl wrote a text in a smart aleky way, and or sarcastically?

Since texts don't really do the best in terms of "emotion" when talking, it's hard to tell if something is being said in a sarcastic/smart aleky way. So, how do i know if it was

The example I'm talking about is that she sent me a picture of her and a friend, and she said "there now you can look at it whenever you want". It sounds like she was being a smart alek and or sarcastic about it, but, how do i make sure of that?
