My friend was with a greek girl. However, the girl seems obsessive and very clingy and my friend said he has fallen out of love with her but each time he tries to leave her, she cries and refuses to break up.

She followed both of his researchgate and academia accounts while he didn't. She had also sent friend requests to his father and he had accepted it that time since she was technically his "girlfriend".
However, my friend no longer wants to be with her and has been cheating on her non stop with multiple girls. But she refuses to leave him and each time he tries to end it, she threatens to expose his intimate pictures/videos

Mmm. This type of behaviour can be either Psycho or absolutely normal, depending on the age of the girl.
For younger women who he might be their first or second boyfriend and wants a traditional arrangement and feels like she's invested so much emotionally into him, I'd say he's an idiot for cheating.
But if she's around your age, odds are she's trying one last ditch effort to secure a man as she fears she'll never be married.
In truth She wouldn't be behaving this way if she didn't believe there was a bit of hope. So sorry but it's your friend that's entertaining this and in part fueling the fire. He's not an idiot. Especially by the time you hit 30 years of age. You're fully aware of what you're doing. In any case, toxic attracts toxic.
