Why are some women not scared of becoming pregnant between the ages of 17-25? I know I was! ?

I didn't know if the guy was going to stay (and maybe marry me) or if I was going to get kicked out of the house! I didn't even have a stable job and I was still in high school! Sure my hormones were surging through the roof but I really had to stay strong and not give in and I didn't even have a boyfriend at the time and wanted to wait till marriage. Why are some women SO READY to become a mother even despite being in the same circumstances as me? ! It's like they didn't really care or they were TOO OPTOMISTIC with their plight in life! Thinking that positivity and love would be sufficient and not money or a stable relationship! How strange!

And yes, I know that some people have or are able to get with someone matured and that loved them/wanted to start a family with them and be devoted, but was that NORMAL in American culture? Maybe that was the exception not the rule!

I don't know if you've noticed, but there is a lot of chicks more than happy to live off child support money and use big daddy government to get by. Especially chicks that don't want to finish school or work at all.

Now I'm sure you're a strong, independent woman, but there is those stereotypes of certain kinds of women for a reason. Also the reason there is such a rise in men that view marriage or becoming a Dad, is nothing more than becoming financially enslaved to a woman and the court system.

Not sure where you live, but if you live where there is a thing called "no-fault divorce" then I guarantee there's a big fat welfare system that goes with it... along with a prison system for guys that don't pay.

The thing that really confuses me are the young guys that risk it. I get really tired of hearing, "but she said she was on birth control." My oldest is one of those, and the guy my sister trapped is one of those. Now they both slave away and provide while the chicks take selfies and sometimes pictures of the kid/kids. It didn't take long for the "we're both working" stuff to stop.

You ask SUCH a good question. I'm not a woman and I'm not going to pretend to know the answer. The only thing I can share is that my wife knew from the time she was little that she wanted to get pregnant and have babies. I'm convinced that even if we hadn't been married that she would have found some sperm and got herself a baby. Not in a trampy or bad way, just that she desperately wanted a baby and knew she could raise it -- and all of that outweighed everything else.

I'm 25 and I'm not scared, in fact I wanted to be a mother more than anything. Unfortunately financially I'm unable to become a parenting, and finding someone that'll truly love me and want to build a life together is w bit difficult.

I've been pregnant at 17, 19, 24, and now 26. Being a young mom is something that I wanted to do so it wasn't scary for me at all even tho at 17 I was in no place to have a kid I knew that I could make it work.

How? So you just thought positive? You never thought: "What if the baby's father leaves me?" Or "How could I afford this aside from child support? IF he pays and isn't able to get away with not paying.." or "What if something goes wrong with my baby or I have pregnancy complications or have a tough, hard labor?" Wow, I guess some people are just that mentally strong! For me, it was the affordability. I also didn't want to have children while still living with my folks! Not to mention as I said, going to school. But I REALLY wanted to have a stable loving relationship ABOVE having something cute!

My parents did end up kicking me out when my son was 2 months old but me and my husband had plans and stuck to them so everything would work out. My son is now 8 and thriving so it was all worth it for him

The stigma is gone. Up until the 2000's, a girl was removed from class, and sometimes school if she got pregnant. Sometimes she would be moved to another relative's house far away so no one in the community would find out, and the baby was quickly give up for adoption, and came back later like nothing happen. Then for some, abortion was used.

Another oddity is that sex is not as popular as it once was. There are some girls who will run down to the abortion clinic or take plan b, if she having sex. And even more oddly, many girls are wanting same sex relationships, so they do not have to worry. My daughter has high school classes where every student is either gay or non-binary. Every last one. of them.

And if they want a kid, governent is willing to help pay, so it's not a big deal.

Unfortunately for a woman she needs to start as early as possible, those who put off pregnancy had fewer kids and as such got weeded out of the population.

Yes you want security too, and this is particularly important to women who's ancestors come from colder environments where more complex support was required for both them and the baby to survive.

Unfortunately with the modern welfare state the systems of selection that favored such planning no longer exist as all people are forced to provide for the irresponsible creating an ever increasing idiocy problem that will eventually crash our civilization.

This is what happens when you remove humans from the competitive environment which demands intelligent and instead abuse their ability to learn to teach them self-destructive behaviors and 'priorities'.

I suppose this is part of the reason life capable of evolving intelligence has existed for 200 million + years and yet it took all that time and the hostile conditions of an Ice age for intelligent species like humans to develop.
The ability to change within a life based upon learned behavior is great for adapting quickly, but it's also an unmitigated disaster ending everything if you "learn" to value the wrong thing.

Agreed! Don't get me wrong I feel for anyone woman with an unplanned pregnancy which is why I think young men and women need to treat sex with a much less casual attitude. Hi, if you read my post, I was referring to financially. You're right that the 20's is really the best decade for having children, BUT fertility doesn't decline as much until after like 35 I think. I've seen many children get born when the mother is like 30 to 36 to be honest, and they turned out very healthy! Heck a few of my cousins were born when my aunt was 40 and twins at 48! Granted IVF was used with the older aunt but still! Life always finds a way!

Yes that is true but what are the odds that someone in their 20's would be making 60k a year if not more? Surely, the money has to either be coming from their parents or a rich partner, which I doubt is the norm for 20's, that's all I was saying.

And there's no guarantee that that person's job is going to be stable. Could just be a part-time job at a fast food low wage...

My mum was just after college, and starting her first job as a teacher, when she had me. I don't know how much she earned, but way less than 60 k as a teacher job is very underpaid in my country. And her and my father had no problems.

Oh I see. That's cool. I wish I was able to land a stable man like that but I was also scared to lose my v ( I knew it hurt!) and like yeah, the reasons I stated above. I was still in school (in fact, going to college at that age). I was more excited about that, not to mention the frat/sorority or just college parties. I didn't want to be tied down already with a baby at 19. I guess you were more matured than me at that age! Lucky you had a stable partner that could afford it. I didn't WANT to not be childless at my age but it is what it is.

She was very well developed in the chest area and pretty and her ex boyfriend at the the time sent the daily sport a few pictures he took. They offered her £10,000 to appear topless in their paper on the day of her 16th birthday, they took a whole load pictures of her when she still 15, enough pictures that they were able to run her in their paper for 6 months. They had like a whole weird count down in the paper until she turned 16. She married a wealthy London stick broker at 19 and never modeled again.
