Help I'm a straight female and I think my female friend likes me?

Hello, I'm 15 years old (turning 16 this year) and my best friend is 12 (turning 13 this year).

She's been very off lately, I'm suspecting she likes me WHICH IS TERRIBLE.

She has been very "flirty" in a way. I don't know but she keeps on telling me how much she loves me, that I'm so pretty and she writes paragraphs about how amazing I am and such. It feels unnatural and not honest, and I don't think friends would write such things right? I've been friends with her for almost a year.

She also said "your voice is so hot ;)" when I sent her a voice message. 🤨

She also tagged me in a video on Instagram that said "me to that one person that watches my story" and the background music was "maybe I just wanna be yours I wanna be yours I wanna be yours". And she said : Me when you watch my stories.

It's weird, because it was a love song. Is she trying to say that she wants me?

First of all, I am traditional roman catholic. I do not support LGBTQ+. It's a sin in my belief.

I am straight.

She is 12, I am 15.

I also thought that she was straight. I just assumed she was until now, now I'm suspicious.

What do you think? Am I just overthinking this? Should I ask her?

It may not be she likes you as a lesbian, it could be she looks up to you and respects you. Thinks your attractive (and she wishes she could look like that) and that you have great talents with your voice and other things.

I don't think anyone at 12 really understand gay/lesbian desires, she is still trying to find herself.

Pretty simple.

I would just tell her, when she says something that makes you uncomfortable, that you don't like it, and it makes you uncomfortable. If she keeps doing it, when you have told her multiple times to stop, then she's not really being a good friend, is she?

Tell her you aren't gonna hang out with her if she is going to ignore how you feel. And then if she has a problem with that, don't hang out with her unless she changes how she is acting.
