Why do girls automatically assume more if I ask them out?

Like they automatically bring the "im not ready for a relationship card".. i told this girl that, that wasn't my intentions. that i see her as a friend. so we agreed to be friends and hang out. and now she backed off and doesn't even answer my texts or calls. we are both workmates. What happened here? I don't know why she gave me her number in the first place. The only reason i give my number is because im either gonna try and be friends and hang out with them. not to just be a texting buddy.

Because women will always automatically assume a man is interested beyond friends from the very beginning. Maybe she just wasn’t vibing with you. I think it’s her job to come clean about how she is feeling and if she doesn’t, no hard feelings just leave her alone

haha well im a nice guy around her at work. she is always looking for me or always trying to say hi. I saw that as a sign of her being a cool friend or interested in to further knowing each other. she is shy as hell and gets nervous around me from time to time. I never looked for her. on the contrary she looked for me. im like wth. yet at work she is still saying hi. im so confused as hell.

@chicosuave maybe she’s just looking to be friendly at work only. I am the same way. I am friendly to people at work but prefer not to have outside relationships /friendships with them. Nothing personal. I do have their numbers also

you girls are weird. I don't know what you girls are afraid of. Usually leading people on is worse then just plainly telling them no if you are not interested in them. im just gonna be straight with her. if she doesn't want to be friends to leave me alone and not look for me at work. Cuz its annoying when someone only wants attention but doesn't want to hang out as friends. i had so many people do that to me its annoying. its a waste of time and energy.

Sounds like you have a more than friends agenda and you feel rejected because she isn’t entertaining a real life outside of work interaction, yet you don’t simply want to be a friend to her just at work. She isn’t the problem

for me work is work. if people wants to be friends then will talk. i do that with guys too. if they dont want to be friends then i stop talking to them. we will keep it work mate to work mate. not friends at work. what does friends inside the work means. you probably mean work mates.

@chicosuave it’s just simply put she doesn’t owe you a friendship outside of work lol then to find out you find her friendship gestures at work to be annoying sounds like she’s better off. I don't know you entirely but again seems like there’s a hidden motive. I’m friends with 85% of the people I work with, however most of them are just work friends. Nothing personal to them.

I dont think you understand that when someone is trying to be friends with someone you give them all the attention you need to make it work at first. once rejected then i back off of course. yes no one owes me anything but dont keep talking to me if you dont want to be friends. obviously she only wants attention and i won't give her that. that its. thats everyone. simple as that. its a waste of time and energy. now i have to slowly get rid of this person and i will do it by text. that way she stops. or ill just have to tell her at work. will it will be more awkward for her.

So that sounds like a personal problem though because not everyone takes this kind of stuff too personally to the point where they can’t separate work friendships vs real life friendships. It just goes with knowing your place with someone and keeping it pushing.

I don't push anyone to hang out with me. My biggest problem is when people lead u on then ghost you. They should just be honest from the start at least.

It’s about knowing your place and knowing when to say “hey it’s pretty obvious she doesn’t want a friendship outside of work” she doesn’t owe you anything. If you have actual quality friends outside of work, this wouldn’t even bother you that much because you have other friends to focus on and attend to.
