Why do straight women assume that just because a girl is bi/lesbian that they have crushes on them?

A lot of people seem to just intrinsically misunderstand alternative sexualities. I think because they can't grasp what any other sexuality is like. They almost assume homosexuality is a fetishization of the same sex, rather than an attraction that functions the same way heterosexuality does.

And it's possible that girl in particular just wanted validation or something. The fact that she got mad at you for not desiring her speaks to some sort of insecurity on her part.

I dont. My two best friend are lesbian and bi. I knew them before they got together and they are still my best friends. I never thought that about them.

Because they do not understand/want to understand, that a lesbian feeling works the same as a straight one. I get the same experiences.
