In your experience, do white women get the rudest as a customer?

When I was working customer service, white women were always the absolute rudest.
Hispanic men and women totally fine.
Black men and black women fine.
Asians fine.

White women, not all of them were nice to deal with. Some were nice but when it came down to remembering the worst customers I ever had, they were white women.

When I worked in tech support, there were a lot of females that thought I was stupid and didn't know my job because the service not working was "My fault". I remember one woman called me a bitch and my supervisor were listening in, and she got on the phone with the lady and said to her "This is a place of business. If you need help, we offer it the best we can. but if you just want to stay on the line and act like a child and call people names, we reserve the right not to assist you and to void out any warranties and refuse to help you in the future. This is a safe environment and bullying will not be tolerated."

I was like "Damn, that chick got owned". I didn't really care because I don't have much use for people anyway, (And you can see why) but my supervisor was asking me why I didn't stick up for myself, and I told her there's not a person in this world I give two shits enough about to waste my breath on. I guess some guys take offense to someone calling them a bitch, but I could care less about other people's opinions (And that's just what they are).

When I used to work in retail and customer service, they were the worst ones, yes. It's why there is such a 'Karen' culture. White women do often have more of a sense of entitlement and thinking they can behave however they want because they're white and a woman.

Black women (and I am black too) can still be Karens, and sometimes a little worse than white women. I would say a difference is that black women customers who are Karens will act subtle, by constantly asking a cashier or store associate "Excuse me?" after almost everything they say to her, because she's looking or hoping to have a reason to act combative and adversarial with a customer service worker.

Asians and Latinas aren't perfect either. You have cases of those who are racist and purposely try to avoid getting your help or checking out at your register just because you are black, but especially if you are a black male.

All white people are the rudest customers. Maybe it's because they think they have to "prove they're not racist" to me - the brown skinned person selling them weed - but they always say the worst shit.

Plus it's only white people who got mad about masking up? And there were two white people who once pretended to be American to me, but had Canadian IDs that proved them to be Canadian citizens.

And one white woman even told me to "enjoy my communist country". She was also Canadian, and was buying capitalist weed from a capitalist weed shop. 🤦🏽

Black women. They get angry bullying, aggressive, threatening and pull the race card. I used to work in Wallmart and target, black women were always shop lifting. This every day.

You know, I'll give you that. It's not all women, nor is it all white women. I would definitely agree though that white americans are typically the most mean and aggressive groups of people in customer service. From my experience, I've come to conclude that there are three groups of people that are awful to deal with.

As a white female, the rudest customers for me tend to be old white men who have old time beliefs that men are superior to women so they can treat women however they want to. If you say or do ANYTHING that shows you're not a slave to men, they will shit on your entire fucking day. Following that is usually middle-aged white women which is where the Karen term was coined from. They're usually the married housewives type with bratty teenage kids and have zero patience or empathy for other people. They hate everything about their life so they take it out on strangers. Lastly would be broke cheapskates. You'll spot them in the wild every so often, they'll be wearing house clothes in public, looking like a complete mess yet demanding constant entitlement. They're the type to try to get shit for free and complain about every little thing (even when there's nothing wrong or they were in the wrong). If you give them the proper customer service treatment, they will be repeat customers that ALWAYS come back talking shit just so they can get their money back and walk away with free things.

Rich pricks can be more demanding so I’m always on my game. Like be attentive and anticipate their needs before they even ask for something..

Know your customers. To stay ahead of your customers' changing needs you need to, first and foremost, know them… go that extra mile and you’ll be fine.

It just sound like you're not doing your job very well. In my younger years in retail and food service I never had any complaints. The city I worked in was mostly White. I did get occasional job offers from people for doing a good job. When you do your job right, people try to recruit you to come work for them because good help is hard to find. When you're an incompetent fool, people complain. Your post speaks volumes about your lack of skill.

I work at a local shop, and I know this may sound unbelievable, but during the entire time I've been there I've never had to deal with a rude customer. It just doesn't happen. They're always nice and polite.

I am sorry but it is the opposite for me. Black woman and man seem to be on the cell phone while at the counter trying to conduct business. This is really rude.

Rarely, I had rude customers. Two definitely stand out.  Two were white men and a couple of white women. Some people are just pure 💩.. I don't think race has anything to do with it.
