I try to get straight to the point and sorry in advance if this gets to long. The girl is from South America. We had a video Skype chat 45 minutes and then I met her in person 3-4 weeks later. Signs of attraction was there. Fidgeting with objects, her earing, and playing with her hair. I had all the values that she was looking for which included: Good communication, trust, loyalty, respect and honesty. She also straight out told me that she didn't find those values in other guys she has dated. I also told her that I have very good self control and discipline/mental strength. I have been abstinent from sex for 11 years by choice. We talked for over 3 hours in the park. I'm also been practicing NoFap/semen retention for about 6 weeks but of course she didn't know that. And I'm currently on a massive self-improvement journey right now. Already lost about 16 pounds in the first month and started taking care of my hair daily. And I cook for myself everyday which I've never done in years.
I noticed 2 unusual things during our date. She wouldn't sit next to me as in side by side but she had no issues walking side by side with me. Second, I felt like that she did not want to talk about herself and if she did it was brief and she always shifted her focus back to me. This happed frequently and hindered me in getting to know her better.
Conclusion: She stopped responding to text at the end of the date when I asked her if she got home safe. She put me in the friendzone via text the next day very late in the evening. I asked "what can I work on?" She responded, " Nothing, you are perfect" and something along the lines of "My heart tells me friendship only"

We met through a matchmaker. We would not get matched if she did not like me and I would not have gotten this date. The women either say yes or no and she said yes. I'm trying to learn what I may have done wrong so that I can work on some self improvement.
Can you explain on what you think you did wrong? Maybe it was something you can control or maybe she's just picky as some women are picky.
