Why do girls do this?

TLDR; girl I was talking to online removed me for no reason, and I don't know why she did it

I met a girl online on this app, on Wednesday. She had commented on a question I had asked once in my local language, and I immediate realized her to be from the same country I was, so we took it to the DMs and hit it off. She gave me her Snapchat and told me she'll be talking to me from there from now on as she was deactivating her G@G account, so we exchanged IDs.

We were mostly just talking and casual flirting, and her responses to all my advances were very positive. She was much more talkative than I was and it genuinely felt like she was actually interested in me and that things may go somewhere if all goes well. I learned that we had a lot in common and that she also lived in my city, just a couple minutes away from where I live.

We'd mostly talk at night because she'd said she had a night job and she'd get free by 12AM. I was mostly awake during the time and I have work to do of my own, so it was fine by me. Last night, I hopped on Snapchat as usual and I saw she had seen my snap but not responded to it. Then I clicked our chat open and saw that she had removed me as a friend.

I really don't understand what happened and why she'd do something like this for no reason. On the night before yesterday, everything was going so smoothly. We talked till 3:30 and we wished each other a good night and went to bed, so this doesn't make any sense why she'd do something like that. Am I missing something? I would appreciate every single helpful response under here.

GUYS!! So she added me back on Snapchat just a couple minutes ago. I asked her what's up and she apologized profusely, saying she was getting rid of some unnecessary friends the other day, people she didn't talk to/wanna associate with anymore and accidentally deleted me too. Then she reinstalled G@G again, went through our old DMs, found me again and re-added me, so I guess that's that?

Damn bro, that's super weird and messed up of her to just remove you out of the blue like that. Girls can be so confusing sometimes. A few things that might've happened:

- She met another guy she likes more and ditched you. Some girls don't care about leading guys on if a "better" option comes along.

- Maybe she got creeped out by something you said without realizing it and freaked. Girls are sensitive like that sometimes.

- Possibly she just wasn't that interested after all and was keeping you around for attention/boredom until something better came along.

- Could be she has some issues going on in her personal life and isn't looking to talk to random dudes online right now.

Who knows what her deal is, try not to take it personally. On to the next one my dude. Don't trip about one girl, there's plenty more fish in the sea. Just be confident, keep it chill, and someone will come along worth your time who won't play games. Keep your head up!

For sure man, it's definitely not worth stressing over something you'll never get answers for. Girls can be mysterious like that sometimes. Just be glad it wasn't something more serious, ya know? At least you didn't waste too much time on her.

Try not to let it make you hesitation about putting yourself out there again either. Not all girls are flaky like that. Maybe hit up some of your other matches and see what else is out there to take your mind off it. Or kick it with the boys, play some video games, do something fun to get your mind off her.

You'll meet another cool girl before you know it. Just keep being yourself and putting in the effort to meet people. Don't let one random ghosting make you worried about talking to others online. You'll bounce back in no time, I'm sure of it bro! Chin up - on to bigger and better things.

you say anything weird or creepy in your conversation, and she didn't mention it but unfriended you quietly? Maybe you unintentionally seemed too desperate, asked her out awkwardly, or commented strangely on her pictures or stories or said something weird. These things could be reasons why someone might stop talking to you. Or there could be another reason.. you should ask her y she did that to clear up the things.

Not that I know of, no, I didn't do anything that may have sounded desperate or strange. Only thing I can recall which MIGHT have made things awkward for us is when I may have asked her to send me a photo of herself after she commented on a recent photo of mine from my profile, saying that I look cute, but even then, she replied by simply saying "I don't have a good pic of mine right now, but I'll be going out with my friends in a couple of days so I can send you then".

Again, believe me, I would have asked her if I could, but she removed me from her Snapchat, so until she adds me back (which she hasn't as it's already been a day) I can't know

Okay, given the updated information... Mistakes like this happen. You did not nag Her, She added You again out of Her own free will. Looks like She does want to keep in touch with You, then. Is that anything more than friendship? Hard to tell at this point, but it might become something more, especially given the heartfelt apology instead of just a formal report on the reason of the mistake. She's no psychopath, that's for sure, and it's already plenty promising.

Definitely. We've been talking almost every day sinc then and things have been going really well. Sometimes I flirt and she almost always flirts back as well, so that's a plus too

I never claimed it to be a "good idea". Maybe it's my fault for thinking we were going somewhere, but yeah, it still doesn't make sense what she did. Maybe you operate from a different realm, but playing with someone's feelings like this is never justified

Now that's a novel approach, at least regarding dating apps. Isn't starting new relationships literally their purpose? The funny thing is, I do agree that it's usually a bad idea to start any relationships online (unless You are significantly good-looking and can prove it with photos).
