Why did my female cousins paint my nails and style my hair and do my makeup when we were younger?

Little girls like doing that shit! After Mrs. Fay died, we'd, often, invite Mr. Fay up for a Sunday dinner (usually roast beef) and he'd come up and sit on the couch watching t. v. or would just fall asleep. I'd guess he was in his 70's or 80's. His only son was Dad's best friend. While he sat there on the couch, my youngest sister (about 6 to 8 years old) would spend the better part of an hour behind the couch dressing up Mr. Fay in make-up, wigs and any other kind of girl clothes she could put on him. He would just calmly sit there like one of her dolls letting her do this stuff to him and she looked forward to doing it every time she heard he was coming to dinner!
