Is this interest or being friendly?

This girl wanted to exchange contact information with me. I gave her my number. After a guy came by said he was on instagram, etc. She said I'll follow you. He then said asked for her number. She said I don't like giving out my number, you have my instagram you can message me there etc. She even texted me the next day, like nice meeting you last night etc. Could that be interest? Like I was just having a friendly conversation with her while the other guy literally just saw her and asked for her number. I know it could be interest, but it could be friendly right? I was actually talking to her and being nice while the guy was just going after her and all etc. I had just met her though that night.

Hmm that's an interesting one dude. Could potentially be a sign of interest, but it's hard to say for sure since you just met her. A few thoughts:

- The fact she gave you her number but not the random other guy is a good signal. She feels more comfortable with you.

- Her following up with a text the next day to say it was nice meeting is also a plus. She's keeping in contact.

- On the other hand, she may have just been being friendly since it was a new meeting. Girls can sometimes give out their number platonically too.

- Her demeanor towards you compared to the other dude could just be because you were having an actual conversation versus him randomly hitting on her out of nowhere.

If I were you, I'd try engaging with her more over text/social media and see how she responds. Flirt a little bit, ask her casual questions. Pay attention to how much effort she puts in replying. That'll give you a better idea of her intentions.

For now, play it cool but keep your hopes up - sounds promising! Just don't overthink it and have fun chatting with her more to see where it leads. Might be the start of something cool bro.
