Girls, is being a girl as terrifying as it seems?

Between the way women are harassed, made fun of, judged, seen as inferior, aren't taken as seriously, periods, getting pregnant, giving birth, breastfeeding and other things it seems like a horrifying existence

Nope. You make it sound way worse than it actually is. Sure periods suck but you get used to it and just deal with them. Made fun of? I haven't had that happen. At least not to my knowledge. Also not taken serious? Sure that can happen but you make it sound like no one takes us serious. There will always be some that don't but those are often times the people that just don't like women in general. The same ones that think we are inferior. I can't speak about pregnancy. I have never been pregnant. I'm sure it has its unpleasant parts but we can bring life into this world. Even if it was a miserable existence what do you propose we do about it?

We can change social attitudes about the way most people view women. As for the biological stuff I guess women are stuck with it until some sort of artificial womb exists

i don't find it that bad on a surface level because there are other problems that are bigger than simply gender but women DO face a lot of problems - i think most of my friends have faced some kind of harassment especially on public transport (and this is both now and when we were at school so they'd be wearing uniforms) plus there are double standards and societal pressure, and of course, periods, i have friends who throw up, can't move, feel faint etc when they get their periods, and i think women are often not taken seriously when they take medical concerns to the doctor and i'm speaking from experience here, and pregnancy as a whole is terrifying, growing an entire person in you, having your body, hormones and mind change...

Periods just suck period

Being not taken serious also sucks a lot especially in professional settings

And harrassment and groping and just the danger of being out makes many fun things not really fun

That being said would you have preferred not being a woman

I dont think so like that stuff sucks but Im still happy
Id mostly would love to increase my saftey so I can enjoy some things

Does the biological stuff bother you as much as the safety and social stuff

Like the saftey partly is biological too

Makes sense but does the idea of pregnancy and birth bother you if you decide to have kids

Like currently not really a bit the medical problems that can come with it

No, it is not that bad. You just have to watch your back around some men.

You don't have to but it sucks for women who want a family. I guess there's no other way around it but I still feel bad for them.

No clue. Every woman is different and have a different outlook on being a woman. This is a subjective question. I can’t speak for others.
