So I go to the gym and there is a girl I have a crush on. She watches me and stuff but when I am close by her she ignores my existence. Finally, the other day I started a conversation with her and she was laughing a lot to herself and couldn’t look me in the eyes. She then abruptly ended the conversation and I took that as her not wanting to speak to me and left it at that.
Today, she kept walking past me and smiling to herself and watching me from afar but I just ignored her. But something is bugging me. Is she just shy around me or is she trying to use me for my attention? Sorry if it’s such a dumb question but I really am baffled by her behavior.

She’s aware that you’re aware of her as well and not sure what to do with that. Like for as much as you catch her doing xyz, you have to be paying pretty close attention even passively, and she’s taken notice to that. Even if it makes you feel a bit self conscious or embarrassed it is what it is. At this point either break the ice and ask for her number of focus on your workouts.
I spoke to her already once and I was going to but she continued her workout and I was like “eh whatever” but her behavior today was just odd. I guess I’ll talk to her again
Then maybe she isn’t interested in a romantic connection dude. You’re reading her all wrong if you’ve already tried and she brushed you off. You may not realize how much attention you’re paying to her, or how she’s interpreting it. Who knows, maybe it’s the attention she enjoys, but I’d stop giving so much of it to her and see what happens.
She might just really like the attention, then. I’ll just pull back and leave it alone then.
