I've heard it said that girls make judgements on guy's looks and chances with them the first 10 seconds on seeing them, any truth to this?

God no that is not the case. At least that is not the case for the majority of us. I don't think I have looked at a person and judged them so quickly no matter what my intention was. Not even just to talk to them. I don't know where you are pulling this information from but get off that site or stop talking to that person. I judge a person and whether they are right for me over a few dates if that is what you are referring to. I don't make snap judgements like you are insinuating because you cannot possibly know someone or pass judgment in the matter of seconds. If you do then you are likely to live a lonely life.

It's just an old maxim said by guys when I was in school, by youtubers and some psychological studies. It just came to mind and I wondered if there was veracity to it. Good to know you have some depth.

I can't link anything at my level but "How many seconds to a first impression" Princeton study. This is related to the phenomena as far as I can see. It's not something I've dived into but heard it said there are such studies.

For those that might see this there is a link to a quick article. Nowhere does this person claim this about girls. It is about people in general. That is rather sad that you are just applying this to girls and not taken the scope of that study into context. That makes it sound like we (girls) are the only shallow ones. Tisk tisk.

Lol, relax would you. I wasn't pulling all of this from this article, it's just what I came up with when googling as I said, I hadn't dived into the studies' claim. So defensive. I don't care if it's not true or not, the point of the question was to ask.

If you are going to site sources to back up the question you ask I would expect you to have read them. That is what is called poor research. Took me a couple minutes to find and read it. What's your excuse?
