A girl laughs at me all the time?

Ok, I’m getting a little annoyed by my friends daughter (she is 18) who constantly makes fun at me EVERY TIME I see her. For reference, I am 43. A lot of it seems to be about my sense of style. I don’t think anybody else has a problem with the way I dress. It is to the point where it is relentless and I am thinking of addressing this issue with her as I am getting a little fed up. How should I tackle this issue?

Don’t try to figure out why she’s doing this; if she expects you to pick up on some hidden signal she needs to learn that you can’t read her mind. Look her in the eye and give her both barrels until she shuts up. Make it very clear that you’re unwilling to put up with that. If her existence is worth acknowledging she’ll make some changes.
