It was a Chinese woman I saw during a holiday. I could not download the messaging app she preferred while abroad. I set the app up after returning to my home country a few days later and contacted her. She accepted my friend request, but has been completely quiet for days on end after that. What might she be thinking?

So... possibly if you waited too long she presumes you're not interested or perhaps that she's not your first choice. She's waiting for you to make a move.

I’m not even sure if she’s even read my messages in the WeChat app, as the app does not disclose that info. In one message, I explained to her in detail why I took so many days before sending her the friend request, there really wasn’t anything I could do. Maybe it's just not in the cards for you and this one... She should know to look at her app and respond... I wouldn't sweat over it this much.

She acted incredibly friendly and receptive towards me in Hong Kong, and seemed very eager to stay in contact with me when she provided me her email and phone number. If she is completely knowingly ignoring me right now, I am quite stunned. She did not show any signs of discomfort towards me when I spent time with her.
