What does is mean when a girl says she feels safe in his arms?

She feels safe in his arms?

I have read plenty of comments where girls have said this.

Which really got me to thinking...feeling safe from what?

What are you feeling protected from? Do you ladies live in fear that a maniac is coming for you or what?

Yeah, we're afraid of Michael Myers coming after us...jk. Some basic points were already made by both guys and girls but here's the bottom line. All girls are emotional on a certain level. It's not that we're paranoid about everything coming after us, but we are stressed emotionally and mentally everyday by all kinds of things and we don't let it go like guys can. Personally when I am in an embrace or being held by a guy, all of my fears and anxieties just wash away. It's as if everything that I constantly worry about or constantly stressed about just melts away for those few minutes. The guy just comforts me in some way that no girl or parent ever could. The world could being going into apocalypse mode, but I wouldn't care because I'm being held by a guy. I basically feel safe from any outward stimuli that increases my stress and anxiety level; that nothing matters but the guy and me.

Again this has already been said, but I think it's one of the survival instincts that has lasted through the years because no girl would ever be with someone or see someone as marriage potential if she did not feel a certain amount of protection/safety/trust when she is with a male.

No It's just a feeling that you can let your guard down for a moment. That you don't really have to think about your problems, because for a moment they don't excist, or they're taken care of. Ofcourse, this is not really the case. But the feeling that someone is taking care of all the 'bad stuff' give you a feel of protection.

Ask you this: As a kid, were you afraid of monsters? But they couldn't get to you if your blanket was over you right?

It's more of a phrase to signify trust and intimacy between two people.  The statement is literal, but implies a lot more at the same time.  Women want to feel protected just like men want to feel needed.  It's a natural state for a woman to be in when she is in a committed romantic reliationship.  If your woman says this to you feel proud that she thinks you are a good man and is happy to be 'in your arms'.

when a girl says this. she feels secure with you. whether it can be a friendly level or a intimate level its sure to show up very soon if you keep up with what you are doing.

girls are emotional creatures. that type of security blanket is important to them.

so if you like the girl. keep doing what you doing and she'll come around.

It's an instinctive safety I think. It's not grounded in anything tangible in today's society, but a remnant from back when we lived in small packs. Having a mate meant that you were less vulnerable to outside (and inside) threats.

I think safety is more than just a response to danger, it's also a response to decay. Like if a guy does not show up for work, he does not get paid. If a girl does not wash the dishes, she might get food poisoning. If a girl does not replace her food when it's gone, she starves. Life is always subject to decay and restoration and feeling safe means you have a permanent basis of provision when you work at it, that limits the effect of the decay. Like if a guy earns 60% the girl needs 40% and not 100% without him.

It's not necessarily to do with external factors, for me, it's that I can completely trust the guy, and let my guard down around him, knowing he won't take advantage. I see it more of a trust issue between the two of us. Of course, him beating the crap out of any maniac that came along would be a bonus. :)

Me personally... I felt safe from a range of things. People breaking in, other people attacking me (verbally or physically) I felt protected from.

More emotionally, I felt like my emotions were protected, I felt at peace with myself. It's kinda like being in a happy bubble.. nothing can touch you.

A woman taught me that translation. I used to know a bunch of them but I've lost the need to know them. It means something though... something most females know right off the top of their heads if she's being honest with you. They use the same language with an expanded use like this.

Personally, I hate talking about the bad stuff in my life, but I think about it a lot. Being held feels like a reassurance. Like even if you're life's full of garbage, you've got someone watching out for you. For a young child, a hug fixes a scraped knee. For a girl, a hug blocks out the problems in her life.

Pretty sure its a catch-hole, like a popular and safe answer for describing feelings. Personally never said this about a guy but I assume most girls mean that for the moment that they're in this persons arms they feel like nothing else/their problems worries or whatever seem irrelevant, this person makes them feel happy and forget about their insecurities or issues- so I assume :)

She feels secure and taken care of, like she doesn't have to worry about whatever other crap might be going on in her life.

I love this question LOL I can totally see why you'd think "wtf does she mean?" it just means it feels nice to have your warm strong arms around her and it makes her feel loved and secure that you feel the same way she does...thus she feels safe to let herself feel what she's feeling for you.

OMG when you're in the arms of a man you love it's the most comfortable and happy place ever!! I feel safe that no one can say anything to hurt be bc he's protecting me and watching over me. You don't understand how relaxing it is to lay/put your face in his arms and feel like all your worries melt into thin air. I would do anything for this feeling right now :'( I miss these so much!!! I just feel like I've been born again, like a little girl being protected by her strong man!!
