Smiling and turning away/looking down, what does it mean?

I've been talking to this girl and I have noticed that, while she will usually maintain eye contact, when I make her smile she'll either turn away (while still holding that big smile) or give me one of those coy little smiles and look down.

I wish she could just look at me because I love her smile. I can make her smile often but she will rarely look at me, what gives?!

From personal experience she's attracted to you but at the same time is very shy. Does she blush when she smiles? Does she fiddle with her hair?

Maybe next time she does it initiate touch (i.e you could gently turn her head and tell her not to be embarrassed)

She is just shy or embarrassed. I've been like that quite a few times too. You should make a move bro!

I did that once with a guy that I thought very highly of and knew that no matter how hard I tried he would think that I am not his type or that I was not good enough for him. This is why she probability she hides her smile, looks down and away from you.

She may just be shy and that's her reaction. Or maybe she has a chipped tooth or bad breathe. But I would most likely bet she is shy. Go for it and ask her out. You have nothing to lose.
