My girl wants to get breast implants and I feel uncomfortable for some reason.

My girl has mentioned that she would like to get a boob job..which does sound like a great thing ..even though she doesn't really need them...

I know most guys would say they'd love it if their girl did that..

but for some reason I get uncomfortable about it...

is it an insecurity of mine?

I feel like girls that get implants are usually just craving for attention from guys..and are superficial people...

am I wrong.. for feeling this way?

I share your feeling on this:

-Most boob jobs are not needed: look at "aesthetic" surgeon's sites, before/ after pictures: in a great number of cases the "before " pictures are about as good as the "after" pictures (sometimes even better!)

-So why want a boob job if her boyfriend likes her the way she is?

Because she has felt "inferior" during a certain time (being in a group were larger breasts were appreciated or maturing physically a bit slower and not getting the attention she craved for THEN)

-She may have forgotten she craved for attention a few years ago, but deep down in her mind, unconsciously, the feeling of not being appreciated (because of her cup size) still remains very present.

-I'd always accept a girl as she comes and I'd never even suggest a boob job. If she wanted one, I'd try to talk her out of it by giving her more self consciousness.

-The only justified boob job is when the breasts are so large they cause back pains.

-There is always an important possibility of harming the nerves of the nipples, leaving the girl (and her guy!) with large breasts she doesn't appreciate to be touched: not an enjoyable idea.

No. Not you. She is the one who is insecure.

She is not accepting herself as is; she thinks she is not good enough...the question is, for who? For the world? For herself?

Whoever the 'who' is, she is telling you >>> she is looking at herself through the eyes of other people. Not a wise thing to do, because one's happiness will fly out of the window very easily when one does a thing like that. The only people who actually appreciate people doing this are control freaks; people who look at themselves through other people's eyes make a perfect meal for control freaks.

You feel uncomfortable because you don't like fakes and lies, keep up with the good "work"!

i don't think that you are wrong at all for being uncomfortable with your girlfriend getting implants...i mean what guy wants their girl to get huge boobs so that other guys stare at her all the time. I could be wrong in this assesment, but I can see how it would make you uncomfortable because she may get more attention from other guys and may decide to leave you. However, most girls I know that have gotten implants aren't doing it for the sake of seeking extra attention, I don't know your girlfriend or anything, but I don't think any girl would go through major surgery just for extra attention. With all the complications and things that could go wrong it just doesn't make since. It is most likely a confidence issue and she probably just wants implants so that she can feel better about herself.
