My boyfriend called me chubby and soft?

My boyfriend and I where talking about our physical appearance.( He knows I'm kind of self conscious) but when I asked him if he liked the way I looked he said "yeah your cute, your soft and kinda chubby but in a good way. Like the kind of body you want to cuddle". I was kind of sad after that, I've been trying to lose weight and become really skinny but that knocked me down. He's said I'm skinny but them he calls me soft and chubby. Is that supposed to be a bad thing, I've always thought being soft is bad but now he's telling me it's a good thing. Is being softer a good thing, or should I be upset?

My boyfriend called me a similar nickname. But I didn't ask him about my body, he just volunteered to call me "fluffy" out of nowhere. I got upset after the third time when I realized he was meaning to call me fat. He says he meant it in a cute way. But I wasn't sure... I mean, he had implied before he wanted me to lose weight cause he would pat my belly so I felt compelled to just say "Yeah, that's my pooch" of which he mentioned he had one too and we could lose weight together. I didn't think it was a big deal but the "fluffy" thing was sort of silly. Now he's awkward and doesn't want to talk to me lol...

Chubby as soft is cute as fuck! There's nothing wrong with your body. I'm sure you look great. My girl is kind of chubby too and I love her body. Cuddling is amazing. You should love yourself. I'm sure you're gorgeous.

It's a compliment, he likes your body. Take the compliment, and stop worrying, if he didn't like how you looked he wouldn't be with you.
