Do guys cuddle with girl's they're not interested in or attracted to? If so, why?

I cuddled with my crush all night at his place, we didn't kiss and the most that happened was he felt up my ass/legs a bit. Since then we haven't hung out outside of class. We made plans again, but he had to cancel. He doesn't go out of his way to text me unless I text him first and even the he'll randomly stop texting. He also hasn't asked me out since. So basically there's nothing going on between us and I'm starting to wonder if he's not that interested in me.

If that's true, why would he cuddle with me? He didn't try to pressure me into sex or anything, but if he was just using me for sex I'd at least be able to make some sense of things.

So do guys cuddle with girl's they're not interested in and if so, why?

I have only ever done it once. I truly liked her as a person, it was 2am, I had been drinking. We had a big heart to heart and she basically opened up about how her dating life was shit and everywhere she looked she saw people that had someone, but not her.

I'm not proud of it, but I made out with her out of pity. Because she's a good person and I wanted her to feel better. It came back to bite me in the ass obviously, because it was a bad idea. But yea.. lesson learned

Texting is both a hard an ineffective way of communication. Things come across playful that are meant to be serious and vice versa etc etc.
As for the cuddling, it most likely shows that he is attracted (at least sexually maybe not romantically). I personally might cuddle with a girl I don't necessarily "WANT" to have sex with but I would not cuddle with a girl that I am not at least somewhat sexually attracted to.
