2nd date, and he hasn't initiated physical contact?

Hey everyone,

I have gone on two dates with this guy. The first date he could tell I was really nervous, but the date itself went on for 4+ hours, and by the end I was more comfortable, and playfully touching his arm and stuff. However, there was no physical contact from him that night.

On the second date, I was less nervous, and I still touched his arm in a flirty way, but at the end of the night, still nothing physical from him. I had to ask for a hug.

What is going on?

-I had a few drinks with a girl at the uni in 1967.
-Then a few more another evening. No physical contact.
-I asked her out to a show, we went. No physical contact. (she later said she expected me to try)
- She asked me to be her travel companion for 10 days in Paris in December. 2 rooms, no physical contact until we kissed in the Louvre museum.
-We started exploring bodies in Januari- Februari.
-We finished having sex at the end of Spring.

-We're still happily married today.

No big deal thus.

A couple of my friends are dating and they don't get physical because they don't know how to flirt. So you might want to just keep on trying or you can walk up to him and give him a hug, or be over physical so he will be pressured into being physical.

he is def. into you too and he is getting your signals for sure.
Maybe he is just the shy type or doesn't want to mess things up. Give it time and keep on going on dates. He'll work up the courage to kiss you eventually ;-)

You are seriously putting pressure on him or what? Give him time until he's ready unless you make the first move? Don't be in such a hurry to jump into the sack.

Make the first move! Watch him relax after... whats the worst that can happen? He rejects you, at least you know earlier

He may be nervous... or he might be trying to get your consent a little. Perhaps initiate it by moving in closer.

Once consent is established by you being a little more forward, it will break the ice a bit.
