If a guy brings up his girlfriend around you, does that mean he doesn't like you?

He's brought it up on two separate occasions which were completely unnecessary.

One was when I asked how we'd communicate if he's never around, and he was like oh I come back a lot to see my girlfriend.

The second one was when he said one of his girlfriend's friends did something.

Interestingly he's never mentioned her name, or what she does, or how they met...or even whether she exists

Maybe he feels comfortable enough to bring her up around you. He knows you probably won't do anything. Thats one way to think of it. or 2 if you like him and he knows it he's trying to bring her up to make u jealous and mad and just acting immature about the situation or just to let you know hey look i have a gf and I'm not interested in you right now.

I don't think he's trying to make me jealous or mad, it could be the not interested thing, but I have given him virtually no signs of interest whatsoever.

I feel like I don't totally get the entire context here but from what I see, it isn't weird. Yes, people mention their boyfriend or girlfriend time to time. When you're in a relationship, it's pretty normal to just mention the person. I sometimes mention my boyfriend without saying his name. Nothing weird about that.

But here's the thing, I've had people mention their girlfriend/boyfriend before, and it has felt like a natural thing that comes out of their mouth.

Over here, at least the first time, I felt it was totally unnecessary for the guy to mention his girlfriend. He can just say he will somewaht be in the area and leave it at that

He seemed somewhat annoyed that I brought up the fact that he'd be away and how we'd communicate, and then he brought up his girlfriend.

For some reason I had trouble believing he had one, because he just seemed totally bored and jobless.

I have a feeling he just didn't want to admit he had well no life

At that time not well, but over time I'd say on a friend level.

The second time he brought it up he said it more relaxed talking about one of her friends, I wouldn't be surprised if that 'friend,' was actually his crush and the girlfriend didn't exist

The only way to find out if he does have a girlfriend is to play along and to ask questions about her. It didn't give enough informations to guess if it's true or not
