I haven't spoken to my ex in a year why did he block me all of a sudden?

I admit I check up on him here and there. We haven't been friends on social media for over a year and he has never cared to block me on instagram. He left me for another girl and he still didn't care to do it then or bother to hide anything from me.. It just kind of took me by surprise that he would do it now. When I don't try to talk to him or enter his life. What could possibly be the reason? Its unlikely that its his girlfriend. I was blocked then unblocked and blocked again within a week. Also fyi I don't want him back and I don't need to be told to not look at his page. I know I shouldn't care to make sense of it but honestly I can't help but want to. So any input is appreciated. thanks :)

so my ex unfollowed me on Instagram 4 months after we broke up and we also didn't talk through this whole time.. i texted her saying oh can we be friends again? and here we start chatting as friends nothing more but there could be many reasons" 1. he see that you are happy without him guys don't like it when a girl moves on. 2. he might still have feelings for you but since he was an A hole he just wanna stop the feelings. 3. it could be his girlfriend that is jealous you never know. 4. it could be that he doesn't feel that you guys could be friends ever again so whats the point of having stranger." if I'm you i would care and be like wtf.. best thing you could do is to not make your page private trust me he would be stalking and then he would be up your ass even tho you don't want him back its a good feeling :) make sure to post happy pic with happy captions. good luck :)
