Why my ex didn't block me?

We had been together for 2 years. One week ago she said she can't talk to me anymore because she can't go back how it used to be even though it wasn't going to be like that. Only friends but she didn't block me on whatsapp. I said goodbye and take care but she didn't say goodbye to me back, only take care. Does it mean maybe she will talk to me again that she hasn't blocked me on whatsapp? Maybe im overthinking, but i miss talking to her but i dont want to go and text her because i must respect her decision.
