Right person at the wrong time? do you believe?

What's your view on this?

Have you ever met someone you had real feelings for, but that came along at the wrong time because there was too much going on in your life? Have you gone back with them or would you think to go back with them?

Or have you ever experienced being the victim of it? Have you reunited? If yes how did that happen?

It seems my whole relationship is based on this.

I met my boyfriend last july. It was the most random, unexpected meeting. At first everything was perfect, I actually was waiting for something to go wrong because things seems too good to be true. And they were. By December, he seemed withdrawn and we had settled a lot by that point. I mean sometimes he was the guy I first met and other times he seemed down.

He's in a band and writes lyrics and even just reading those it was obviously he wasn't over his ex. But whenever I asked he told me everything was fine and that he was happy then questionned my happiness.

They broke up in May, they were together for 3 years, long distance. She basically text him one day ending it then refused to speak to him. She only met up with him in sept to get her stuff back after he got with me, and apparently she was quite horrible to him about him and us. 'How she's so glad she's not stuck with someone'

I think I always knew since he had told me but didn't want to acknowledge it cos everything was perfect. He was open and honest about it that I didn't feel the need to worry, We get on so well, we're so alike personality wise. I could literally talk to him forever and still have things to say. And I'm quite shy.

I broke it off cos it was obvious he was confused and I wanted to do the right thing. I told him he shouldnt be woth someone if he isn't over someone else. I don't blame him, it's just a frustrating situation cos of the bad timing. We still remained in contact at first but he wasn't dealing with everything very well. Calling me drunk etc, telling me he was depressed.

He asked to meet up with me after 2 weeks no contact (apart from the drunk calls on friday nights), and told me that he wants things to work and that he wants to get over his ex. He said he doesn't know why he still thinks about her cos she treated him so badly, his mum and his friends told him she was taking advantage of him, and she looked down on him (he always had to go up to see her even though she has a car and he doesnt). He said that he feels we get on so well and that he misses me and misses spending time with me. He said that he can trust me and I am right for him. He told me that I wasn't just someone to help him get over her and that's why this is so hard.

He asked for us to try again but to take things slowly which is what we are doing. This all only happened yesterday so I can't give you the ending yet but I'm hoping it'll be a happy one. For some reason, I just couldn't let go. Normally when relationships end, I'm obviously sad but accept it and move on but with us, it didn't feel right being apart. I was a wreck. I know its a risk trying again but I know I'll regret it if I don't, I just hope it all works out. I don't even know if I'm doing the right thing, but it just seems right for now.

When you've found the right person but it's the wrong time in your life, you just have to realize that you can't change reality. Instead of drudging through a relationship to which you can't give 100%, focus on the point that is making it "the wrong time." Is it your job? Your unwillingness to commit and to instead have fun? Whatever it is, you need to do what your heart tells you is right.

Your 20's are a time to try new things in life. You're free from your parents. You're making new friends...lots of new friends. You're just coming into your own, and a relationshp can be hard to commit to at this time. Now is the best time in your life to feel complete in areas that do not deal with a relationship. Want to take that trip? Go for it. Want to move around the country to find your pefect job? Nothing is holding you back. Now is the time to find out what makes you happy as a person and not as part of a couple.

There is the possibility that you could be putting off a relationship due to being reluctant about a boyfriend's acceptance of your interests. He could most definitely support your urges to try new things and might even want to embark on that journey with you. It takes a special guy to not feel left in the dark, and if you find him, you should reconsider what "the wrong time" means to you.

In particular, if you feel like you can't commit, now is the best time to take some time off from a relationship. By avoiding facing this fact, you could be creating tension in the relationship and could be risking any future involvement with this person.

If you're really meant to be a lasting couple, you'll come together when the time is right. Just because you leave a person to pursue your own dreams doesn't mean that you don't love him. There's always a chance to get back together.

I had an experience in my life where 3 years ago I had moved to a new city, in a new condo, with a new job. I was trying to enjoy my new found me, but I was horribly stressed out with my roommate and new job. The demands were too much, then I met this guy through work. We started dating and 3 months later we were official. I was so happy, and he made all the work and living stress go away. That was until I realized 3 years later that he wasn't the right person for me. I wasn't happy with myself, and used him to cure my stress and living blues. That's hard to live up to when your the other person. I wasn't happy until I was out of the relationship. Bad timing on my behalf and he couldn't commit for the long run.

It's half and half- the answer you're looking for. I don't think everything should be "ideal" for a relationship, because it would take away from the excitement and thrill of a reasonable ammount of drama to keep things suspenseful; however, on the otherside- the relationship should have adequate time to form and bond.

So given the following example:

The man is a complete wreck, not going to school, not trying to work, has family issues, and is basically "psycho" himself.

- Then this guy could change and become a better person later, but you met him too early to allow him to flourish into a better person.

Or in this example:

The girl is "larger" and has many attractive females, so you turn to her for advice but rarely form an attraction in her yourself.

- Then this girl isn't given the opportunity to express her true personality (the inner beauty) that someone could find a true attraction towards, rather than what is "skin deep".

There are always varying situations which make us wonder- but it's how we handle those situations that make us determine if this person is "right" and if the timing is "wrong" - OR - if the "person is wrong" but the timing is right =S

- It's a confusing circle, but even the worst individual can be the best for us. When you experience a harmful situation- you will learn an experience of how to handle that situation, that can help you in the future if it happens again.

I am the victim.

This girl and I were in love for year and and a half, and broke up just last friday.

Reason?, she's complicated, and I'm pretty commited to the relationship, and we never had trouble with that, but she doesn't feel ready, and her parents just told her they are divorcing, and it hit her soft spot, so all together, she was tired of seeing me trying to make her happy and get hurt.

We still get along pretty well, at least for these two days, and she told me that if the time comes, and the situation was right, we could be together again. I told her not to think about that, that she deserved time to cool off, and that for a long moment, she can just see me as a friend.

its happened to me..in college 150 miles away from guy I love, he doesn't want to do long distance as he is repeating his year in college and his last long distance relationship didn't work out (not my fault) but I am so hurt that he won't evn try even tho it wanst workibng for me either , I aksed him would he consider it if we were togther again in the summer, we lived together last summer in the same town and he was like id consider it but reallly there should be no doubt in his mind. on top of that tho we both have jobs and commitment outside college and I'm in my last year in college and need to do weell so I don't really need such hassle /heartbreak..still I want to see him again its like a bloody addiction and its not fair:(
