Why did he ask me if I've ever been kissed?

So me and this guy have been talking for awhile and once when we were messaging he asked "Hey have you ever been kissed before?" I replied saying, "Nah, you?" And he said that he had, but he could count them all on his fingers.

Why would he ask that? It was just so random.

Once I kissed a girl who, even not lacking experience, kissed like a really agressive geriatric zombie... like she was going to eat my brains by gumming her way through my face... Maybe he really wants to kiss you, but is afraid that he, or you is a differently-abled kisser?

Maybe he was curious about it so hat could be a reason why he asked. Also maybe he didn't know what else to say so decided to ask it. Or maybe he wanted to know how much kissing experience you have.
