This guy walks really close to me sometimes... interested?

There's this guy I don't know but see around a lot, and I think he's kinda cute. About a month ago I walked past him and a big group of friends, glanced back, they were all staring at me. Another time he was sitting near my friends and I, and he kept glancing at me like every 8 seconds for 10 minutes.

Since then though, he hasn't really looked at me whenever I walk by... BUT he walks really close to me sometimes, even when there's plenty of room.

For example today I was walking to class, it was completely empty, and he came up from RIGHT behind me and passed me, and there was like an inch or two of space between us.

This kinda stuff has happened like 5 or 6 times, and again there was always plenty of space. Is he a bit interested? It's kinda confusing since except for those 2 or 3 times I listed he pretty much ignores me, BUT he walks super close to me?

This is what you do. It will sound crazy, but next time he gets close to you put your arm out, and stop him dead in his tracks.

This will confuse the hell out of him. This is then where you smile at him, and ask him something about him. Maybe ask him to eat with you for lunch. If he declines immediately, it is a reflex answer, so don't look into it to deeply.

If he pauses, thinks about it (two three seconds minimum), and declines without a reason, he may have plans already, or isn't interested. Odds are he is very interested, but just shy.

Odds are, if he likes you, he will pay even more attention to you afterwords because you just became extremely memorable. That brief contact is what he loves, and you stopping him physically will be what he remembers, and then that smile.

If this does not work, I will be extremely, and I mean EXTREMELY surprised.
