Why does he repeat what I say?

I've been texting this guy for a while and I noticed that he started to use the exact same words that I say. The same expressions, the same answers, EVERYTHING! Why does he do that? Is he mocking me? Thanks!

depends on how he repeats what your saying. Does he say his own thing than add something that you say before? Or is it a fluent "everything you say, I'll say it back" thing?
He could be doing it in which that he could try to make it seem your in sync. Like when your sitting and talking with somone, you may follow his movements to psychologically make him more intrigued by you as your slowly doing something he's doing, which makes the person feel closer to you. He may be doing it in the way he messages you, but I can't say for sure.

People subconsciously do this without always noticing. I've noticed it in myself too where I sometimes catch myself using phrases my boyfriend does. It's just a way our brain is wired to catch on when people around us say/do things and we want to fit it so to speak.

I sometimes do that! I don't even notice I pick up stuff from others or I'm trying to show them that I 'know' them
