Guys, would you feel intimidated by a girl you like with a big social media following?

Question

I have about 3,000 followers on Instagram and always get lots of likes on my pictures. The other day, I posted a picture and it got more than 300 likes.

I'm very social and outgoing and a lot of people in my town know me. I just hope the attention I get on social media doesn't bother the guy I'm dating.

Well, at first I thought my crush was kind of a loner at her school, partly because she said she would eat lunch by herself in the library (in her junior year...)

Then I discovered she (had) 700+ Twitter followers and 1000+ Instagram followers. And then I discovered from one of our other coworkers who goes to school with her that she hangs out with extremely popular girls a lot of the time.

Despite all that she's one of the most down to Earth people I know. The reason she has so many followers is because she's so fucking likable, to everyone.

She deleted her Twitter though, and I don't think she has posted on her Instagram since around then.

The only thing that would bother me is if you are too concerned about that stuff and would let it affect your mood or day if you didn't get likes, or a negative comment was made.
Or if you think getting approval online even compares at all to having real life friends that you actually spend time with.

Just because someone had a lot of followers on social media does not make them famous in real life. Social media is another realm and more of ten than not people care more about their friend's number than the actual person. So do not feel intimidated because sometimes people with that large of a following are shallow and insecure. The times they are admired and popular for other reasons.

My current girlfriend has one. Something like around 12k. I would say yes it is. But it depends. On a lot.

Number one, what type of things to you post on social media? If it's all selfies where you then have hundreds of people commenting hot sexy you look and how they want to date you and be with you ETC then yes that can be very intimidating for some. Other probably won't care, they're with you and that's all that matters.

But in the beginning of my relationship it got so bad, to where she was thanking people for flirting with her, messaging back and forth with random guys an ETC I broke it off with her. To this day, I still am bothered by it. She also actively avoids posting about our relationship so that does contribute.

Not at all, the more followers she has, the more liked you know she is, usually more followers means she is with really likes by her community or that she is popular for certain reasons, it shouldn't be an intimidation thing, it should my Girls is better than other young women
