Are many men attracted to teenage girls? Is this a normal/ok thing?

My boyfriend told me a couple of nights ago that he sometimes likes looking for pornographic pictures of teen girls (like 16 year olds, nothing worse than that). We were talking about our turn ons and what we look for when alone. It was a peaceful, pleasant conversation, but when he disclosed this, I felt a bit weird. Didn't tell him that, I assume it took courage to tell someone... which is why I am asking here: do many men do that? Why is that attractive? I am only 26, but they seem almost like children to me... Should I be worried?

We are biologically wired to find younger women attractive. Historically no one would have batted an eye at this because it was quite literally normal to the point where if you didn't find 16-18 year old attractive it would be considered very odd. You have to remember biology does not change as quickly as technology. So historically we where wired to find younger women attractive because they had a higher survivability for child birth, fewer complications and because children died frequently (infant mortality rate was incredibly high) so you needed to have significantly more time and thus more attempts at reproduction in order to ensure that your offspring would survive compounded by the fact that you died younger and thus needed to start this process as early as possible. So it would be abnormal for him not to find them physically attractive. Now obviously with advancement in technology we no longer have to do this and we for the most part don't, we can have the luxury of going after a woman who is mentally compatable for us instead of seeking out a woman who will survive the rigours of child birth. Same goes for women, your perfectly able to be with a man who makes less money then you and who is not assertive (assertiveness being necessary for ambition and for defensive purposes) and/or strong yet you are still biologically wired to seek out men with these traits, men who give you an impression of strength and protection and/or economic security. So yeah, its biology.

you have a legitimate concern... and I'll add this, if he has opened up to you, it's likely that it's NOT THAT, bad in terms of... if he was hiding this the. it would potentially be a much larger issue. Might I recommend talking with him more about it in the same way you did when he told you, his attraction could also be to the way they dress, or look, so maybe accommodating this into y'all sex play would help him to focus more on you and less the taboo fantasy... I know I would be all over that.

I think you're do g the best you can... my advice is just continue to be open and accepting of him, this is about the only way you'll be able to find out if his attraction is becoming problematic, (ex. he can ONLY have sex with you as a schoolgirl, etc) please note that I am not saying his attraction to students would be OK, but I'm saying that in order for you to find out how much of an issue it is, you need to continue to be open and accepting of him that way he will continue to share openly with you. Be on alert though, and if when he becomes working in academia, have the talk with him and let him know you don't want him to go to prison...

Yes. I would only worry if he is looking at children i. e 13 and below as that is actually Pedophilia. but having an attraction to teenage girls is normal.

though society still deems it weird for good reason and i would not be ok with him acting on such but just looking is fine

The truth is, guys find attractive people at any age attractive. And once a girl is 18 (younger in some states) she is legal. So it really just... depends on the people involved. I tend to date a little younger then myself, but no more the 10 years at the most... but I will leave with this...

Despite the fact society deems it wrong to be sexually attracted to a teenager, we have all been guilty of it. With the way teenagers dress and act these days, who can blame them?

I know this may seem biased coming from, ya know... a teenager. However, the point I'm trying to make is that yes, I am attracted to both teenage and adult women, but I don't see that changing when I get older.
