What gives? Why doesn't he just introduce himself or talk to me?

This male co worker that I have never met before waved at me from his car as I was leaving my shift and he was starting his. The next few days I caught him staring at me while I was talking to a female co worker in the parking lot before I was leaving for work.. So is he interested? Admiring my beauty lol. Not being conceited at all. Just wondering what you men are thinking and why you would do such a thing and not approach. I smiled when he waved at me not to be rude.

I'd have to agree with redredtred - just approach him. If you yourself is interested, make your own move and don't necessarily wait for him to make the first one. It's an embarrassing and old tradition that needs to go to the trash right away. Guys are afraid of rejection, lack self-confidence and overthink just as much as women do - we're all the same species after all. What his specific reason is nearly impossible for us to tell except if we ask him personally; so why don't you? ;)

Yeah, I'd have to agree, that would be too direct. That would sound like he did something wrong and that you had felt offended by him staring. What about just walking up to him saying "Hi", introduce yourself and chatting for a bit?

I mean he saw me notice he was staring, not sure if I should feel creeped out.

That matters though. Are you creeped out? Or did you like him staring/admiring you? If it's the latter, I'd say chat him up! If you're offended though, leave it be. If he continues for a longer period of time though, confront him about it directly. Just staring for an extended period of time without making a move is, frankly, quite creepy.

Approaching him is still the easiest thing you can do. Pondering and waiting isn't going to make a difference so if you aren't going to do anything about it then it's not worth thinking about.

Types are overrated. The fact that you're thinking about him enough to ask about him means that there is some level of Interest probably. Push your comfort zone, try something new for once you might like it. A lot of times I've noticed that people's "types" are just what they're used to. If you're attractive maybe people Naturally approached you and you got used to it.
