Guys, is he interested in me or confused?

I met this guy on xbox months ago, he is Australian. he is egotistical and we play together and everyday. I am American. he has revealed a lot about himself, tells me what he’s doing and where he's going during the day. I have gained a night job to adapt to his schedule 15hours ahead of mine. he is really egotistical and opinionated, he has introduced me to his close friends on xbox. he seems into me being as we both are egotistical and the ego is a lot of jokes. he calls me an idiot and i call him a fuckwit, thats what Aussies call idiots and he calls me idiot because i'm American. he says he hates that i talk a lot. I ask well then why do you always play with me? and i know he’s making a bs excuse everytime. he is not a big texter for anyone but responds to me as soon as he can because he works and so do i. he knows when he’s wrong and apologizes and when he made me upset he comforted me and apologized and seemed upset, he denies caring though. he has pretty toxic friends and he is outgoing with them and people he’s comfortable around especially me n him alone. he is more egotistical around RANDOMS and people we don’t know and introverted with them. he seems to be confused about his feelings from my perspective because he calls long distance cringe because his friends see it that way and i feel like he feels entitled to not share the truth because of that hatred for being called “weird” by his friends even though they bug him and tease him about us and he says nothing. he is very corrective and helpful when i am being dumb he seems to try n give me the right idea and gets mad if i don’t get it. hell go on tiktok and sarcastically be like ohh this girl is sooo hot, then shows me a makeup look he likes. he also tried to get reactions from me like that. he bugged me to see my Jordan's and tells me which ones he likes and doesn’t and then shows me his fits and style. we have discussed futures and what we want.
