Yes that happens. You need to move on and not let him see you grieving. He'll be wondering why your so cool with him breaking up with you, and when he says something about it you'll know he's jealous. Sometimes you take stuff for granted and he might be taking you for granted. He'll know when your gone and having fun. He may be begging you to take him back. He may like someone else and wants to fuck you both. He may be gay. I bet tho if you play your cards right you can have the last say in y'alls break up. No texts, calls, emails, etc. No communication or communication attempts and be patient. You may find you don't want him back or you might find that you do. Date, hang with friends, but yourself something nice and enjoy the alone time, because not enjoying it doesn't change anything. He'll be back and you'll be calling the shots soon enough.
I never have when I initiated the breakup. I wouldn't have ended it if I thought there was any chance of it working out, so at that point I'm no longer interested in her and don't really care if she gets in another relationship.
It would probably be different if she initiated the breakup and I still wanted to be with her and I saw her with another guy.

yeah kind of. My ex always talks about someone and maybe it's because of how we broke up (she broke up but it was like a month ago..) or something, but I get so damn jealous when she talks about this person. On the other hand I don't get jealous when I break up, last time I broke up with someone, I didn't care because I just didn't have feelings for her. But if it was a big thing between us, I know it would be different.
The last time I communicated with an ex was when she would be breaking up with me. Therefore, I don't know what would be going on in her life, nor do I care.
