This generations standard of gentlemen is different from my father's generation. Apparrently having basic respect and manners is considered being a "gentlemen." What? Thats just being a basic respectable human being.

A gentlemen is a very self sacrificial state of mind, not just a mask you put on to hold open a door or pull out a chair.

I've had no bad experiences with men regarding this matter, just an observation.

Dad is the first man a girl loves, finding that nature of gentlemen is no longer communicated effectively in our time, same with being a respectable young woman :(

It's not everyone's standard I assure you of that I don't think being a gentleman is just "being nice" it's definitely more strict than that but to be honest most women don't want men to act the way your father's generation did you could argue that the reason it's not the same is directly caused by the way the majority of women act in regards to a man being a gentleman

I agree with you there, but I dont understand why lol. My dad gets so many compliments for his classiness, my brothers are really a clone of him and men express how shocked they are interacting with me, as my father taught me to be respectful and ladlylike to men.

Its more strict but boundaries make good order. I dont understand the girls concept I was pressured to mold to (I didn't ) which is having no boundaries, but wanting the boundaries due to its 'perks'? If meb are to be true gentlemen, women have to be true ladies.
A lot of women dont want to conform but expect comformity in men, just to reap the 'perks.'
