Girls never show interest...why?

Girls, really, never show any interest...it doesn't seem to matter what I do, how I dress, whether I'm smiling or not, busy or not, confident, or not, girls never show interest in me, I just don't understand it...I changed my wardrobe, thought things would change, they didn't. I lost 45 lbs, thought things would change, they didn't. I've got a new outlook on life, thought things would change, they didn't. In my four and a half years on campus, in various clubs and in Starbucks or downtown, not a single girl has shown interest in me...I'm very introverted/shy, I've been heavier my whole life and I'm finally reaching a healthy weight, so I wait for someone to at least smile or show SOME interest, but it never comes...idk, I guess this is more of a venting question, but does anyone have any suggestions, or thoughts? I guess I just hoped that in my last semester of college, Someone, somewhere, would have shown a variety of interest. Would my showing of interest first really have that much of an effect? Is that the only chance I've got?

in my opinion you shouldn't have to change a milion things about you to get a girl, they should be attracted to you and not the you that you created. I mean trying to stay health is not a bad change, trying a different is not bad either, nor is try to be more confident, but do it because you want to for you, not to get a girl. a girl should fall for you and not for someone you're pretending to be if a girl doesn't like you for who you really are then she is not worthy of you. why is it that everyone want to rush the process. I'm 20 still single only had 1 long term relationship that ended because the guy's mom was really ill life /death and he no longer had space in his life for me. who does that! he should be glad that I was there for him and will go throught his with him! OK I'm strayind from the topic. by the way don't rush things let things happen on their own. nothing has worked be cause you're not ready and when you are something will be patient, god doesn't give us more than we can handle.

Trust me... If that's really you in the picture, I would totally be ALL over you. The girls that don't show any interest to you are asexual or have i-will-ignore-hot-guys-cuz-i-don't-stand-a-chance-against-them-itis. Or... it could be you're talking to a heterosexual guy who looks like a smoking hottie...SERIOUSLY...What's wrong with them?

In a way, I'm kinda glad girls aren't over you...lol... :D

Anyway...(awkward fangirl silence)... didn't you have classes with some girls? I mean you must have had at least one team project on SOMETHING, right? How did girls treat you then? What do you mean by "interest"? Maybe they didn't ask you out, but they could have sent you subtle signals, and maybe they weren't so overt so you didn't notice them?

I really don't know why they wouldn't notice you... You're really hot...I'll be drooling if you were in my class...

My suggestion: move next door to my house... :D better yet...move IN to my house! LOL!

lol I've had glasses with plenty of girls, no team projects though, they were all lectures, and they just acted like I was just another guy lol I mean interest as in anything beyond just another person, no body language or anything - there wasn't anything lol so I figured they were all taken :p

Confidence is a huge determining factor for a girl I recon. A guy doesn't have to be dead georgious to get my attention if he's got the personality.

Say hey really casually or wink and walk away, that will have her guessing and interested, if you see her looking at you from the corner of your eye look at her and smile again. If you look like you know what you are doing and as if girls already want you, it gives you a heaps confident aura.

I'd say you should try showing interest first. Girls are used to guys being the initiators. If you've read much on this site you've seen that many of them have trouble being the first to show interest, or are so subtle about it that guys just miss the signs.

What do you have to lose by being the first to show interest?

Agree, don't be afraid. You will be rejected a lot, just like any guy would, but its sheer mathematics. If you keep trying, eventually the right one will respond positively.

you need to get things moving ,just start talking with girls,be the first one to smile instead of waiting for someone stare at you or smile at you
