I'll try to make this concise. I started running with a girl about a year ago and we were just friends. We spent a lot of time together and I started to like her and obtain feelings for her, but she was dating someone at the time. We got really close and hung out till 4-5am talking. She ended up going to Rome the following semester (in college) and when she got back she sort of ditched me. We hung out every here and there over break. Finally, school started back up and we started running more and more together, and she broke up with her boyfriend about 2 months ago. I finally asked her out on a date about a month ago. Took her to Bravo's and then a play afterward. She said she had a really good time. Well since then we tried to hang out but we both have been busy. And Christmas just rolled around and this is the gift I gave her: I wrote out 5 memories we shared and each memory was hidden on an object for example a memory where she laughed a lot I hid between two bags of laffy taffy. At the end I told her that the Xmas gift was about the process of making memories and that I was wondering if she would go on a second date with me. She said "well, I'm not sure how I feel... like I don't know. People asked how are date went and how I feel about you and I'm just not sure, but as long as your cool taking me on a second date while I'm unsure then that's fine." So my question is what does she mean by she is unsure? Should I keep trying? Should I give her some space? Should I just give her space and concentrate on the second date? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also to note when I first asked her out she asked if I wanted her to be my girlfriend or if I wanted a date. I said of course a date, and she furthered explain how she is not ready for a relationship since she just got done with her previous boyfriend.
