Okay so... I was leaving class today, and I noticed these two guys like walked out of class but stopped right by the door as if they were like waiting waiting for someone. I have never talked to them because they are always speaking Spanish, and plus I don't really talk to people I don't know... lol. Aaannnyywwaayy, I barely got half way through the door before one of them said something to me in Spanish. Aaannndd, since I don't know Spanish I clearly had no idea what he was saying but I only caught one word, which was "Probecita" or "Porecita". I don't really know, It sounded like that. I wanted to know if the word is in a positive or negative way, so that I at least know something... lol.

I'm not a native Spanish speaker, but pobrecita is essentially "poor dear" or "poor baby".
It is neither a positive, nor a negative thing. It depends entirely on the context, just like in English. It can be used sincerely, or completely sarcastically.
