He said he loves me - but now acts distant?!

OK this man told me he loves me, I was so happy I cried. He seemed very happy too. But now all this week after he acts distant all of a sudden. I mean he talks to me and is friendly ..but he acts shy and ..well..distant. I'm so confused, what to think of this?! I Haven't been clingy,needy,nothing like that. and he told me he loved me first. We been dating 4 months. Help

i guess it depends on what you said to him after he told you this...did you tell him you loved him too? maybe he is unsure how you feel about him, why not ask him to talk and see if everything is OK, tell him youve been feeling like he's been distant...there is nothing wrong with talking, just make sure it doesn't get into a pointless argument

yes I told him I loved him too. and after that I am the one who has been contacting him saying nice things and he just keeps his distance and I'm starting to feel stupid. But that whole comment of his came after argument..that came after me leaving for 2 weeks to think of things. So it could be that he was hurt because I wasn't sure of what I was doing..and he might still not be sure of my feelings..but I'm not sure if its that or doesn't he just feel it for me any longer. How fast can love fade?

Maybe he just finds it strange to acknowledge he's in actual love and doesn't really know how to behave around you anymore (:

yeah I'm kind of wondering in between should I just let him be if he doesn't contact me, maybe he realized he wasn't so into me afterall..or should I courage him by taking more contact and pointing its OK to love me and I'm not going away. I don't know..

yeah he knows..he just says everything is fine but it doesn't seem fine to me but what the hell...guess I just let it be and see how it goes
