Why do men on GAG seems to prefer brunettes over blondes while I saw the opposite in real life?

I see most polls on here about the typical “blonde vs brunettes” question, with blue profiles voting for the brunettes or saying how they never liked blonde hair, or how brunettes are 100x hotter, yet I noticed in real life how blonde hair seems to be the most preferred hair color ( especially in the US). I see many guys ignoring a hot brunette when an average looking blonde girl ( especially if she has blue eyes) walk by.
and let’s be honest, there’s no smoke without fire, if light hair wasn’t considered prettier, then most brunettes women wouldn’t dye their hair blonde at the point of damaging it. They see how men view and treat them differently when their hair is blond, But what I find weird is how men on here keep swearing how they love dark hair, yet I always see the men showing the opposite with their actions.

Inductive reasoning: a method of logical thinking in which you use observations combined with experiential information you already know to be true to reach a conclusion. A form of conjecture.

So, you state: " I noticed in real life how blonde hair seems to be the most preferred hair color ( especially in the US)." Based on how large a sample of observations?

You also state: " I see MANY guys ignoring a hot brunette when an average looking blonde girl ( especially if she has blue eyes) walks by." How many guys? How often have you observed it... numerically speaking. "A lot" or "often" is not a number.

Then you state: " ... if light hair wasn’t considered prettier, then MOST brunettes women wouldn’t dye their hair blonde at the point of damaging it. " Ok, "most brunettes" would mean more than half, and that is absolutely false.

I'm just pointing this out because inductive, or subjective reasoning, is a common flaw when presenting ANY form of an argument or statement. Limited life experiences lead us to believe many things without having real proof. It may be that you're presumption is correct in the end, but you'd need a much larger sampling of GAG men to have it be statistically relevant.

I prefer the color a woman is born with. I think each woman's hair color and texture is beautiful just as it is, in it's own special way. When a woman capitalizes on her own uniqueness, this can have a special appeal to men. Besides, the more hair is chemically treated, the more sheen, shininess, and suppleness (which are qualities men often like in a woman's hair) it loses.

I see a lot of people preferring brunettes on here too. And instagram. And facebook. I prefer brunettes (men and women). Brunettes have a higher population because it is a dominant trait. Blonde being a recessive gene means that it is more rare, that strikes interest for some people.
I dye my hair all colors. I just like the way different colors look, I don't think women do it to atttact a 'mate.'

There are studies that prove that men prefer brunettes cause they see the girl as being more natural and down to earth. Obviously that isn't true but I guess it's how a guy reads a girl.

Well, G@G doesn't really represent the real world as it's only thousands of people who regularly get on. And well I just brunettes better.. I never un the obsession withe Blondes.. Especially in those 2 pics.. They are both beautiful but the brunette would catch my eye a bit faster.

I don't think that so many girls dye their hair blonde because guys prefer that, they do it only because the girl who dyes her hair blonde prefer it than keeping her natural color. In the other hand, despite there are some guys who prefer blonde girls, most of them wouldn't like a girl when she dyed her blonde if they didn't her before dying her hair.

"I saw the opposite in real life" is limited to your own experience. "Men on GAG" is a larger sample size, but still limited to the demographic of men on GAG who actually answer such polls. Neither is a valid sample size to make a general rule for "men."

Hair color never once mattered to me I never went for hair color only her facial features. If she happened to be blond she happened to be blond. If she happened to be brunette she happened to be brunette. My attraction to her never came in a bottle of hair by whatever all that is a myth.

There are far fewer blondes. Therefore, due to the rarity of blondes, I suppose to an extent that does happen. However, for me and I believe most men, a girl's basic looks trumps hair color, eye color, and except at the extremes, skin color.

I can only speak for my self, but darker colors of hair, look so femenino because they look more mysterious and mystical. Blondes look so beautiful. But beautiful dark hair have a shine that sometimes blondes cannot equalize.
