we’ve both said we care about each other, he stopped asking for nudes and we have more personal and meaningful conversations. he sometimes hints how much he dislikes that we’re so far apart, and calls me cute and adorable rather than hot and sexy. have i been moved to strictly “friendly” or as a potential romantic partner he respects?

ok so its one of two possible options... either he has lost interest and or is using porn a lot more or he now feels guilty as he has got to know you better and no longer wants you to think all he wants is sex. hard to say which it is but if he is also refering to the fact you are so far away i suspect it may be a combination of the two...

well all i can say then is carry on as you are but maybe ask where he thinks its going in the future like does he ever intend coming to see you when lockdown means you can meet up because its would be a shame if this is just a pandemic penpal thing

Maybe that’s a girl thing then. I mean if a guy is engaging in conversations with you, asking you out, and initiating texts; if he is flirting or exchanging nudes that makes you think he only wants you sexually?
