Why would an ex block you, but then be super friendly in person?

My ex blocked me on the social media platforms that we were friends on. I thought that meant that he never wanted anything to do with me again. I was fine with it. He’s in a new relationship and I’m happy for him.

We work together, and now he’s talking to me like we’re best friends. He’ll call me at work to talk for hours. We had to discuss work matters the other day and ended up talking on the phone for close to three hours afterward about non work related stuff. I asked him to take a break today and planned to ask him about it. But he declined.

Why would he be so up and down? Then block me but act fine? Anyone know what might be going on or have gone through something similar?

I think he doesn't want to be reminded of you every time he pulls up his social media profile. It doesn't mean that he doesn't want to stay in touch with you. But he needs to do it on his own terms - talk to you when he's got the head space for it. And if he's still getting over you it may be too much for him to handle if you constantly pop up on his facebook.

Again, you are putting far too much value on social media. To the point you expect him to ignore you in person (you know, the one that actually matters). Have some perspective.

Maybe his girl didn't want him following you on social media. Maybe she's the jealous type and he doesn't wanna admit it.
