Man avoiding eye contact/looking down during conversation?

I have known this man for 3+ years. Just lately I've noticed he won't hold eye contact with me during conversations, yet asks me questions? About my partner & daughter mainly. I talk to him nornally, ask him questions (never personal). I've noticed he doesn't seem to do this as much with the other women I work with. I'd have thought if he didn't like me, he wouldn't ask questions to carry on conversation. Guys, why would you avoid eye contact with a girl you've known for a while?

Chances are he’s nervous. If he’s asking questions about your personal life chances are he’s interested. He may be nervous because you’re beautiful, he doesn’t want to sound like an idiot or not sure of what questions to ask.
