What does it mean if a guy warns you?

I had some encounters with two different guys, both of which frustratingly ended after a short time. Both guys eventually knew me to be widely admired by guys and when I mentioned me being with other guys they warned me to watch out because guys talk about the things they did with woman.

I know I should watch out - but why do these guys care? Is there any meaning behind this? Could they be jealous, trying to discourage me? Are they just being nice? Are they being selfish? Part of me thinks they're jealous, but that could just be my ego talking. What do you guys think? Guys: when would you warn a woman not to do many encounters because of guys that talk

To be honest and fair; you never know their true intentions. Someone might be genuine here as not all males are the same but I can't tell as I don't know them personally. Both these guys can be telling you crap to sleep with you because either they are jealous of eachother. Or may be from the type that that want you for themselves, and screws around and doesn't like to share you. Double standards I tell you. You had encounters with both that ended so leave it at that and be with someone who will give you what you need. Or you will go through a tumultuous time with these types of men and never know and always question. Guys talk and that is a fact. So just be cautious even around them as they may have even spoken about you.
