TO wear or NOT TO wear shorts around my male roommate?

I moved out of my parents' yesterday and for the first time living alone. or not exactly. im living with a roommate and he's a guy. We don't know each other but he seems like a nice fun college guy. We are both around the same age (early 20s).

sometimes i wanna go out to the kitchen or toilet but i always make sure i wear a bra before going out there. (I dont wear a bra in my room). But is it okay to walk around wearing short shorts? What are guys' opinion on this? Would you think the girl is trying to get your attention? Because i dont want him to think that.

I don't like having to keep a shirt on or wearing underwear when I've shorts or pants on, but since it's not just my place and I wish to avoid awkward/attraction issues I maintain some modesty to keep everything chill between us. No outlines or prints. No sweat glistening chest, and if I want I just do that in my room.

He's a 20 something male. He's going to think what he wants to think, but if you wear short shorts up to your crotch, he's probably going to think to want him to look. Is it that difficult to wear longer gym shorts or workout shorts around the house? I don't think so. Save the short shorts for when you're on the way out the door, and avoid the trouble. If he's interested in you, that won't change things anyway.

Being in a bra around him will get his attention more than shorts. It's definitely a more intimate thing to show. You can definitely be in shorts around him, although he may stare at your ass (if it's nice). It's just more appropriate than wearing a bra around him. Gotta say though... I myself would love that scenario if it was me.
