Why does my male teacher always stare at me?

I'm currently a 16 girl, still in high school. He's taught me and I've known him for 2 years. He's not my teacher anymore but things just started to get weird the first year he taught me. Every time I'm in class, its like he's always eyeing and looking at me. I had enough one time and looked back at him and he instantly looked away. I never really personally spoke much to him because I felt uncomfortable, but the looks kept happening for the rest of that year and last year too. He's not my teacher anymore this year, but he teaches the class next to mine. He would come over to my class and would just stand there, look and smile at me. I don't know if I'm exaggerating it, but my friend would notice and tell me that he would look at me too. Outside of class and among the school, I would see him as well. He would just always walk near my group and I and would stand from a distance staring. My friend would notice this and she would tell me about him too. I don't want to think weirdly about this but it's been happening for so long and I just find it strange? I just want to know why he keeps staring?

I would ask among the other girls that he taught and teaches now.

you may not be the only one.

either way, look at reporting it as a possible concern.

ideally to a female teacher you get on well with.

obviously if when asked if other girls start saying he’s doing the same, then there is more to answer for.

it also means that if you alone report it and nothing is found, then potentially someone else is targeted.

I am all for saying people are innocent etc, however the actions are sus and should be reported but get some feedback from other girls.

obviously avoid any situation where you could potentially be alone with him.

if in doubt tell parents and senior teacher

Yep, you're right that definitely sounds creepy. In fact? It was SO creepy, I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck tingle as i read it.
Why does he do it? Sounds to me like he has a thing for you.
Question is.. What are you going to do about it?
IF you don't get any better advice that this, I suggest you go and see whoever is in charge at that place and say this:-
"Look it is probably nothing, but (And explain what is happening) Then say I do not wish to take the matter any further, I just want it to stop."

He will then likely be under investigation which is probably a good thing.

You obviously haven't told your parents? I think maybe you should because it should really be their job to talk to someone about it.
Life is hard enough being a kid without you having to take on this problem on your own.

When I gave you my initial answer, I never took into account your age. You shouldn't be having the worry of dealing with that. Besides, your parents will be called anyway when you report it.

That reminds me of a law enforcement teacher I had back in high school. We had one girl in our class who was really cute, but she always wore low cut tops and skirts and he ended up always sitting down at one of the desks across the room to teach class and it was fully obvious why. He also would hover over her when answering a question and you could just watch his eyes drifting to her cleavage.

It was gross. It was sort of an unspoken acknowledgement it was happening, but she never said anything to my knowledge.

And he should also understand that he is not getting any signals... in return... of liking. How he can even think that... Get the hell out of this situation... as early.
