Random “local church” guy offers help comes off as creepy/weird?

So me and my parents were shoveling dirt in my front yard and this random guy comes out of nowhere and ask if we need help we told him we were good since is was all three of us working together he then proceeds to ask various questions about where we’re from or if we rent or own our house question likes that he also informs us he is from the local church and he is out helping people , I just found the whole thing weird we kept insisting we didn’t need help but he refused and helped us , is that something weird?

Maybe casing your place for a burglary. Or, he was really from the local church. He didn't give you a business card or anything? Seems to me he would give you a program from the church or something, like even the name of the church.

yea it made me very uncomfortable watching him stare at my parents shovel the dirt while asking if my mom could make him pupusas tommarow very unsettling , I went to room after that and shut my blinds and made me question people..

if he comes back no joke -excuse yourself to use the restroom and getta pic of him to have, you never know. this way if he starts dropping by and all that weird stuff you have a pic for the cops
