I've known him for about 3 years now, but we've gotten significantly closer over the last 3ish months. I go to boarding school, and his dorm is right next to mine, so he'll text me before classes we have together so that we can meet up and walk together (for like 3 minutes). We text throughout the classes we don't have together, he asks me to go to the library with him on the weekends to study, and we also call a bit late at night.
But in between all of that, he's a bit rude to me at times. He'll completely ignore my existence even when I'm literally right next to him. He reaches out to me (via text, call, etc.) all the time, but whenever I reciprocate, he's rude (as in "K" and other dry responses) or won't respond for hours. Something else that's weird is that he's very touchy with other people (regardless of gender), but he never touches me except for the occasional shoulder tap.
I honestly have no idea what's going on. At times, I even question if we're friends at all. Thoughts?
